The Cope Well Foundation is dedicated to providing our members with the guidance and leadership they need to ensure that their participation in our program is effective and meaningful. We are able to accomplish this by creating relationships with individual Cope Well Leaders in the different communities that we serve who are committed to the overall mission of our foundation and the well-being of our members. In addition, our leadership program provides our leaders with an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by cancer and to raise awareness for ALL survivors of ALL cancers types.
The overall success and effectiveness of our foundation is a direct result of our Cope Well Leaders and their commitment to our foundation and our members, on all levels. Because many of our Cope Well Leaders are cancer survivors or co-survivors, they understand the needs of our members on a personal level. Our leaders are passionate about, and committed to, making cancer and The Cope Well Foundation a priority in their lives and in their communities.
It is the pledge of The Cope Well Foundation and its Leaders to be forever devoted to those affected by cancer by helping them overcome the emotional challenges of cancer survivorship through positive coping. Cope Well Leaders serve as the guardians of our mission and help ensure that our work continues to be appropriate, relevant and vital to the needs of our members and the cancer community.
All Cope Well Leaders are asked to make the following commitments to The Cope Well Foundation and those we serve:
Our Cope Well Leadership commitments are entered into thoughtfully and with careful consideration given to possible unintended effects, especially regarding our relationships with other Cope Well Leaders, Members, Partners, Advocates, Volunteers, Participants and the public. Cope Well Leaders receive special training, along with helpful tools and resources, to ensure that they completely understand the overall mission and core principals of The Cope Well Foundation. We regularly evaluate the actions of our leaders to help ensure their overall commitment and success, and to ensure that we are effectively contributing to the overall needs of our members.
