‘For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future.’ Jeremiah 29:11
Our Cope with Hope Coping Outlet was created to aid in the spiritual recovery of Survivors and their Support Systems by focusing on 2 of our most basic spiritual needs, Prayer and a Relationship with God.
As an organization that has focused primarily on the emotional well-being of Survivorship, we understand the emotional affects of Survivorship. We understand that Survivors may need a great deal of emotional support, as they are dealing with an endless number of emotions, including anxiety, fear, uncertainty, isolation, anger, guilt and depression to name a few. For this reason, the Cope Well Foundation developed and now promotes the importance and benefits of 3 signature Coping Outlets, all of which have been developed by Cope Well. These Coping Outlets include: Survivorship thru Mentorship, Live Well thru Activities and Coping thru Counseling. Each of these coping outlets has proven to be not only beneficial, but essential, for the emotional well-being of Survivors and their Support Systems.
Just as Survivors and Support Systems may experience significant emotional affects during the Survivorship Journey, they may experience significant spiritual affects as well which, ultimately, can affect the emotions they’re feeling. With a desire to add a spiritual, faith-based element to our organization to aid in the recovery of Survivors and their Support Systems on a more spiritual level, the Cope Well Foundation is beyond thrilled to introduce our newest Coping Outlet, Cope with Hope, which was developed to promote the importance and benefits of spiritual well-being during one’s Survivorship Journey.
As mentioned, our Cope with Hope Coping Outlet focuses on 2 of our most basic spiritual needs, not just as Survivors and Support Systems, but as individuals trying to navigate our daily lives. Those 2 spiritual needs are; 1) Prayer and 2) a Relationship with God.
‘Set your mind on the things which are above, not on the things which are on the earth.’ Colossians 3:2
We believe that Coping through Prayer is an important part of our daily lives, as it enables us to elevate our mind from our earthly concerns to God’s heavenly interests. There are endless benefits to living a life committed to Prayer. Prayer can provide us with positive feelings such as, comfort, encouragement, joy, strength, love and peace-of-mind just to name a few. All of which can help us deal more affectively with the difficulties of Survivorship/Supportship and life in general. However, we feel that the greatest benefit of Prayer is that we are able to deepen our Relationship with God, and deepening our relationship with Him helps us feel closer to Him, which can provide us with a feeling of trust and, ultimately, a sense of Hope; hence Cope with Hope.
We hope that our Cope with Hope Coping Outlet aids in your spiritual recovery and helps you fulfill your 2 most basic spiritual needs. Again, the overall purpose of the Cope Well Foundation’s Cope with Hope Coping Outlet is simple; to aid in the spiritual recovery of Survivors and their Support Systems by focusing on 2 of our most basic spiritual needs, Prayer and a Relationship with God. Through this message, we hope to lead by example for those around us and make a difference in the lives of others, so that together we will ‘Cope Well to Live Well’.
